ClockWork Entertainment was established in 1997 to respond to and fulfill the music industry’s need for an independent and integrated entertainment house. The founder of ClockWork, Debbie Hammond has a proven successful track record of start up corporations. Debbie has successfully built and sold companies and raised revenues of over 300 million dollars. She made her first million dollars by the age of 26. Debbie graduated with honors from the University of Houston with a degree in Business. Her business acumen crosses all lines of industry, from health care to computer software and entertainment. She has successfully established an entertainment team to meet all criteria of a thriving music enterprise and create a fresh culture for the twenty first century.
ClockWork Entertainment’s goals are to build an entertainment network that combines all elements enjoyment. These include music through recording artists’ releases, production agreements, music publishing, touring, managing, fashion and merchandising, distribution of records world wide, TV, movies, and let’s not forget-sports. ClockWork has a proven record of accomplishment with it’s first time out of the box, with recording artist T.Q., His first single was released July 4, 1998, and went Gold in less than five (5) weeks, selling over 750,000 units in the U.S. alone. T.Q. has currently sold over 3 million albums and singles worldwide. Debbie Hammond discovered T.Q. after being given a compilation album by multi-platinum producer, Mike Mosley of Steady Mobbin’ Productions. Debbie saw a niche in the market place for an artist like T.Q., because he sings about lyrical content that is usually only discussed by rappers. When T.Q.’s album was 80% completed, Debbie proceeded to secure a distribution deal, launching one of the largest battles in the industry for ClockWork’s artist, T.Q. Sony, DreamWorks, Interscope, Arista, Warner and MCA were literally physically battling to distribute T.Q.’s album. Debbie created this fight through her marketing and sales expertise by building a vibrancy in the industry and in regional markets on T.Q. She has been able to do this again, proving a successful track record for developing artists that are heavily desired by the majors, with the the next act released by 2620/ClockWork Entertainment, DREAM. Producer Vincent Herbert helped develop the four 13 and 14 year olds.
The main keys to 2620/ClockWork’s success is our ability to develop and choose commercially friendly artists that sell a large quantity of records worldwide. We first decide which market is missing a trend setting, new group and then consider where the buying sector is located. Then, we create and develop artist’s to meet that void. Since the largest segments of buyers for music are females between the ages of 16-24 years old, we concentrate on artists that are appealing to this sector. ClockWork artists have major appeal with image, looks, and talent. We match our artists with the best producers, who show case the artists’ special qualities and uniqueness. We like to consider ourselves the leaders next generation, and pride ourselves in staying ahead of the marketing by depicting the next sound and the fresh look. We set what is “in style” and build the new movement in entertainment. We mold the next generation . Sean “P.Diddy” Combs of Bad Boy Worldwide recognized the uniqueness of what Debbie had established and signed DREAM after a 15 minute meeting in Beverly Hills. P. Diddy was leaving New York, on his way to tour in Japan. He decided to reroute his trip to Los Angeles to meet with Debbie about DREAM. After a quick performance, P.Diddy signed DREAM on the spot! Within 6 weeks of their first single, He Loves You Not, produced by David Frank and Steve Kipner, DREAM sold over a million units. Total album sales in the U.S. was over 2 million units, shortly thereafter.
ClockWork Entertainment is excited to present its next artist, Jordan McCoy, by the summer of 2005.
